Description
Søren Kierkegaard (1813-1855) was a Danish philosopher, theologian, writer, poet and social critic, widely noted as the first existentialist philosopher. Kierkegaard is known as the “father of existentialism” and was a prolific and immensely influential writer across genres and subject-areas. He is primarily notable for his critical texts on Christianity, organised religion, morality and ethics, as well as his critiques of Hegel and the German romantics. Kierkegaard’s influence remains intact, and he is to this day considered one of the most important thinkers in modern history.
The conception and design behind our bookends stem from Swedish renowned industrial designer, Jan Landqvist and are made in the small town of Gnosjö in the south of Sweden.
