Description
Dawit Isaak (1964) is a Swedish-Eritrean writer and journalist who has been imprisoned in Eritrea without trial since 2001. Amnesty International considers him a prisoner of conscience (POC) and have called for his immediate release.
This bookend has been crafted for the benefit of the organisation, Swedish PEN. For every bookend sold, 25 SEK goes directly to Swedish PEN’s work supporting writers and journalists imprisoned or targeted due to their views or beliefs.
The conception and design behind our bookends stem from Swedish renowned industrial designer, Jan Landqvist and are made in the small town of Gnosjö in the south of Sweden.
